Festival season has officially kicked off under the hazy desert sun of Indio, California—and where am I? Watching it all unfold from the wrong coast, curled up in a hoodie while New York delivers its usual dose of springtime mood swings. While I may not be stomping through the sand with dust in my boots and a wristband on my arm, that hasn’t stopped me from dreaming up the looks I would wear if I ever made it to the Coachella grounds. This week’s finds are all about the what-ifs—and what I’d pack if I was headed west. Enjoy!

I feel as though you can’t kick off Coachella without paying homage to the “inevitable” queen of the festival grounds, Vanessa Hudgens. She’s been serving desert looks since the early 2010s, and that 2013 moment—wearing a white two-piece while holding an oversized sunflower—is forever etched in my mind. Her early outfits truly captured the essence of what festival wear was meant to be: carefree, flowy, and effortlessly expressive. It wasn’t about chasing trends, but about embodying a vibe, and that’s exactly the energy I’d bring to my imagined day one look.

After surviving day one with an easy, breezy start, it's time to turn things up a notch. Saturday’s look is darker, bolder, and a little more spellbinding. I’m channeling a black and gold, star-crossed desert goddess moment—something that feels both grounded and otherworldly. Think celestial undertones, mystical energy, and just the right amount of edge.

We officially hit the halfway mark of Weekend One, landing on Sunday, and for this day, I want to tap into my Southern roots with a look that blends Western vibes with boho charm. I’m channeling that perfect mix of rugged and free-spirited, with denim cutoffs, a fringe vest, and a touch of turquoise to add a pop of color. It’s all about embracing a carefree attitude while staying true to my Southern style, mixing earthy tones and relaxed layers that feel effortless yet intentional while enjoying a nice ride on the iconic ferris wheel.

After surviving Weekend One, we are now refreshed and ready to hit the desert valley again for Weekend Two. For Friday, I’m embracing a shimmering, crystal-infused look that channels an ethereal, siren-like vibe. Think iridescent fabrics and sparkling accents that catch the light with every move. The idea is to create a magical, otherworldly presence, where every detail—from glistening jewelry to fluid, flowy silhouettes—adds to the allure. It’s all about standing out under the desert sun with a touch of glamour and a whole lot of sparkle, leaving an unforgettable impression as you glide through the festival.

After soaking in the magic of day one, day two is all about channeling the boho-glam vibe that Roberto Cavalli perfected in 2005 and 2011. These collections were a perfect fusion of luxurious prints, earthy tones, and effortless, free-spirited silhouettes. Think flowing maxi dresses with exotic patterns, lots of fringe, and bold accessories that make a statement. I’m all about mixing rich textures like suede, silk, and leather, creating a look that feels both wild and luxurious. It's about embodying that carefree boho spirit while incorporating Cavalli’s signature boldness.

Blaring suns and smoldering heat have made up the past two weeks of my Coachella adventure, and we’ve made it to the final stretch. Usually on the last day, your body feels tired and honestly can’t take another... I give this outfit inspiration to be nourishment, hydration, and feeling refreshed—even if it's just on the outside. For Day Three, I’m embracing a cool, revitalizing vibe with blue sequins and shimmering water-inspired details. Think oceanic hues, sparkling blues, and a sense of hydration that glistens under the desert sun. The look is all about feeling refreshed, channeling the essence of water, and keeping that energy high with a touch of sparkle—just like a cool, refreshing drink on a hot day.

During my quest to hunt down these finds, I was struck by the sheer audacity (which I’m sure many of you have sadly encountered more times than you can count) of resellers living in full-on delusion. I wrote about this frustration earlier this week about a pair of shorts, and two queens (
and ) also sounded off on this exact listing or something strikingly similar—definitely worth checking out their stacks as they dive deeper into this issue. So, for fun and giggles, I’ve created a special little segment for today’s post titled The Audacity Bin, because honestly, that’s the only place these clothes belong—besides my closet, but you decide.P.S. Friends — your engagement is always welcome, so don’t be shy! Leave a comment or join in on the polls. Enjoy!
the charlotte russe shorts
I’m all for having a side hustle to make a few bucks, and I’ve also sold on the holy trinity of resale sites (Poshmark, Depop, and Mercari), but even I can come down to Earth every once in a while and realize that maybe this isn’t the best price for a pair of shorts that’s probably 10+ years old and cost the price of my two hands held up.
wet seal shorts
Is this an ‘I’m getting old’ indicator? Since when did anything Wet Seal cost more than a large iced matcha or a carton of eggs? Honestly, sometimes I wish I could live in that land of delusion—just for a little while.
a RARE 90s charolette russe top
Literally, as I’m writing this very sentence about this RARE 90s Charlotte Russe top, it’s already sold for $100. The average price when browsing for anything Charlotte Russe, if I’m being honest, is usually between $5 and $35. But who cares about that? In the end, all it takes is one person to believe in your 4x the price 25+ year old top. Maybe that’s just the motivation we all need.
another $100 top
The same regard goes towards this Windsor top since clearly it’s in 8 people’s cart right now. The average resale pricing of Windsor tops is estimated to be between $8 - 40 so do with that what you will.
we have danielle guizio at home
I’m sure we’ve all had DIY projects that didn’t turn out the way we hoped, and I’m not here to judge—sometimes you’ve got to pivot. But selling an unfinished birthday project as a Danielle Guizio skirt for $75? Bold move. At least they’re being thoughtful by including the leftover Amazon sequin pieces in the bundle for the next person to finish the job, talk about a ‘work in progress’ deal!
VIRAL beaded t.j.maxx bag dilemma
It doesn’t come as a shock to me that the beaded bags from T.J.Maxx selling for $24.99 became a viral moment on the clock app, but seriously, I guarantee that if you step into your local T.J.Maxx or even Goodwill, you’ll probably stumble upon either the same exact bag or a close enough twin. It’s interesting how resellers continue to hike up the price for something that’s so easily recognizable—at least to my eyes.
You can even spot this exact bag in this very TikTok :)
This was SO GOOD! Petition to make the audacity bin an ongoing feature because I cackled
I just found you through Chantal’s (the Lilac Reign) note and I am obsesseddd! I love how you visually present everything. Part of one of my monthly emails is also to pick out secondhand finds and I struggle with the visual presentation - it’s SO hard to do it compellingly. These are all so good as well, I wish I lived in the US so I could buy some 🥲 Anyways just wanted to express my admiration, can’t wait to read/see more of your work!
